I got an upright piano about 3 years ago. I was so excited to finally have a piano in our home. Over the past few months I noticed it was not holding up as well as I had hoped. I decided to make the jump and invest in one we could have for a long time. McKenna has been taking lessons for two years, and Jaden wants to start. I've also been practicing a lot trying to get back a lot of the technique I have lost over the years. We got a Yamaha U1 which is a professional upright - meaning it has the same sound as a baby grand because of the long strings. I don't have room for a baby grand and have always loved the look of the upright, so it was a perfect fit. I wish you could hear the sound! We are so happy with it and know that we will have it forever.
